November 1st – No meeting
November 8th – Noontime meeting at Atlantic Oceanside
November 15th – Board meeting 4:30 pm followed by 5 pm club meeting at Pat’s Pizza
November 22nd – No meeting
November 29th – Noontime meeting at Atlantic Oceanside
In honor of World Polio Day, we hosted Purple Pinkie Day on Oct. 24th as part of Rotary’s 35-year mission to eradicate the crippling disease polio. Club members painted pinkies for $1 to promote polio awareness at a table on Main Street between The First and Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. They also greeted guests visiting from The Emerald Princess, sharing news about Rotary and its efforts to eradicate polio. Ron told me that we've raised $321 so far with more donations to come!
As the fight against polio unites communities around the world, Rotary members are using time-tested methods and attention-catching new ideas to raise awareness, funds, and support toward eradicating this debilitating disease.
