Of course we all have a responsibility to meet the needs of ourselves and our families for food, shelter, clothing, safety and security; but most of us as Rotarians have a degree of disposable income, which we can spend on ourselves or on others.

The Rotary Foundation's monies are used to help develop community service projects addressing children at risk, poverty, hunger, the environment, illiteracy and violence - at home and abroad. The Rotary Foundation also supports programs for youth, educational opportunities and international exchanges for students, teachers and other professionals, and vocational and career development. PolioPlus is Rotary International's official project and seeks to eradicate polio from the face of our planet.
