Stephanie Carel, co-owner of Silver Leaf Gems in Downtown Edmond was recognized and honored by the Rotary Club of Edmond as the 4-Way Test Award Winner. She is President of the Edmond Downtown Business Association which includes the Edmond Arts Festival and Fall Festival, Chair of the Edmond Historical Preservation Trust,  she works to acquire grants for upkeep at the Territorial School House and is a teacher at the Fine Arts Institute where she shares her jewelry making skills with students.

Stephanie conducts her life and operates her business in a manner consistent with the Rotary Club's 4-Way Test Award. The 4 Way-Test asks these questions:

In her business and at consultations, she is honest in her presentations of materials and pricing of metals, beads, gems and supplies.
 
Is it fair to all concerned?
Her pricing is based on the fair market value and affordable. Everyone entering the shop has the same experience and the same pricing.
 
Will it build goodwill and friendships?
Stephanie truly loves Edmond and is known for her generosity in donating jewelry and her time to numerous causes.
 
Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
Stephanie has tremendous work ethic and heart for volunteering throughout Edmond. She is respected and has proven her ability to see a need and improve the situation.
