Mark is chairman of The GTD Group.  He began working in the energy industry 40 years ago, June 1st, 1977.   He has been involved in domestic and international business corporate development. 

In addition to working in the oil and gas industry and international trade development, Mark has written five energy related books, served as a columnist, radio talk show host, banker, real estate developer, US Senator’s staffer, film producer and music producer.  He has served three years as a Governor/Board Advisor of the Texas Chapter of the Grammys/Recording Academy.  

Higher Education Highlights:  Mark was appointed by Governors Bellmon, Keating and Fallin to Board of Regents posts.  He served as chairman of the Board of Regents of USAO 1990-91, chairman of the Board of Regents of the Regional University System of Oklahoma 2006-2007, and is the incoming chairman of the Regional University System of Oklahoma 2017-18.  He served on the Board of Trustees of Oklahoma Christian University from 2006 to 2015 and is currently a Lifetime Trustee.  He has served on advisory boards of Pepperdine University, Harding University, Oklahoma State University, Southeastern Oklahoma State University, UCO and the University of Tulsa.

He is currently serving as chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame—Gaylord-Pickens Museum and is Board Emeritus of the Oklahoma Governor’s International Team. 

Currently, Mark and his wife Nancy reside in Edmond.  They have three grown children and six grandchildren.
