First normal Meeting for 2023 was held at the Mermaid Tavern with 16 in attendance including Guest Speaker Mathew MacDonald from Radio Lollipop, Barbara Burnheim and Christine Jones.
Noel Hodges was in charge of the Meeting and it was a fairly relaxed evening.

Sergeant Noel removed funds from those present with a bit of a different Fines Session.

Radio Lollipop established in the UK in 1978 – 1990 Brisbane – 2001 Logan and 2006 Gold Coast
Radio Lollipop provides care, comfort, play and entertainment for children in hospital and all run by volunteers with currently 6 per team in each hospital
Over the last 5 years there have been interactions with over 16,500 children, over 1,000 radio songs requested and the volunteers provided 13,300 hours or equivalent to 553 days
Mathew thanked the Club for the provision of gifts for the children in hospital, with over 160 gifts distributed. The success of this has seen clinicians request the program be extended to other wards within the Gold Coast Hospital.
President Andrew presented Mathew with 6 boxes of Craft Supplies as well as the Broadbeach Glass and thanked him for his presentation.
It was a relatively early night with the meeting concluding at 7.35pm, with the meeting enjoyed by all in attendance
