A big thankyou to Barbara, Neil Jones and Noel & Kay Hodges who once again assisted with another sausage sizzle at Bunnings last Friday. Our next Bunnings BBQ is on this Friday 8th March and hopefully it is a huge success.
If you could please help with the Lady small Project, we need another 4-5 members to assist with the painting. We are lucky enough to have an artist give up her time on March 16th and 17th so if you can hold a paint brush and have a little imagination please come along and assist her to transform the dementia garden area into a beautiful beach inspired theme. Additionally, we will be also painting the garden beds ready for planting some herbs and shrubs the following weekend.

Please join me on Tuesday 12th March for our next meeting at the hub. We will be joined by guest speaker Adele Hayden who is visiting from South Africa and of course our chef Kouma will be cooking a gourmet delight.

She is going to give us an update on the RC Hout Bay project that Peter Dutton featured in his address to us last year
To celebrate International Women’s Day on 8 March, Rotary will host a webinar focusing on the importance of female leaders in the workplace and beyond. The webinar will discuss how to identify leaders early, how to establish mentorship and scholarship programs, and how to be an ally. Our Treasurer Neil Jones opened this evenings meeting by welcoming everyone & particularly our guests. Lovely to see so many people at our meeting on such a hot evening. We were cooled however, by knowing it is World Polar Bear Day!!!!! Who knew?

We need volunteers on Sunday week to help paint the mural.
We have now been grouped into a Rotary Community Group which should bring more interaction between Clubs with greater outcomes
A Satisfaction Survey was distributed to members for completion in order to see how our Club rates overall. President Andrew will correlate the Survey and report back to members on what works well and what needs to change. If you are not happy with any aspects then please be ready to offer alternative suggestions.
VP Pauline has had a very inspirational visit to our Botanic Gardens and urged everyone to visit and take advantage of the new Glider transport that drives through the Gardens for your comfort. $5 for one & quarter hours. Such a good service.
Uwe asked for something positive that has happened for you in the last week. A good thought as we tend to focus on the negative.
