Presidents Message

Fellow Rotarians and Friends,

Just like to wish all our member and partners a very safe and happy 2023.
A big thankyou to every person who has given up their time to assist with the Bunnings BBQ and the scooter project. You time and hard work is appreciated, especially over the busy Christmas and New year period.

Our first meeting back for the year was a social evening of bare foot bowls at the Broadbeach bowls club. Everyone who played had a fantastic time and thanks to Noel and Kay Hodges for their coaching.

Tuesday next week we will be meeting at the Mermaid Waters hotel for our first official meeting  of 2023.  Please join us to welcome our  guest speaker  Mathew MacDonald from Radio lollipop. Mathew  would like to thank the club for the toys donated to the  Gold Coast Uni Hospital. Every child at  Gold Coast university hospital for the week of Christmas received a present.

Yours in Rotary
 Andrew

FROM OUR MEETING TUESDAY 10 JANUARY 2023

Scribe: Tony Lewis
Sixteen members and guests had a most enjoyable night of bowls and fellowship at the Broadbeach Bowls Club
Three groups played under the guidance and coaching of Noel and Kay Hodges, what could be best described as not quite Olympic standard, but there were still some excellent shots played - and some not!
Although no "winners" were declared all players (and spectators) thoroughly enjoyed themselves
After bowls we all had dinner in the Club House
