Another very happy, sociable evening last night at the bistro in the hotel. We ended up with quite a few more people than had registered and we had no speeches, prizes or fines.
Next week is a forum night which was requested by the members, so please come prepared to provide recommendations to assist the club moving forward. Also can you please email me any topics you would like discussed?
We have just received the November/December Newsletter from RAWCS/DIK Northern. It has been a very busy year despite interruptions and lockdowns. This Newsletter contains some dates and information about containers to be filled and loaded to East Timor, Madang and Ethiopia. The organisers are also calling for volunteers to help sort and load the donations into 2022.
Our club has been asked to sponsor a student to RYTS from 17th to 22nd Jan and we have a candidate. We will have to consult the finances and hopefully squeeze some money to support this cause.
Until next time
Yours in Rotary

Whilst the first Tuesday in the month is not normally a club meeting night, following on from the most enjoyable Christmas Party on the fifth Tuesday in November it was decided to continue with the festive spirit and hold an informal evening at the bistro at the Mermaid Waters Hotel.
Sixteen members and three partners enjoyed the occasion with good fellowship and a meal of their own choosing ranging from filet steak to pies and burgers.
A most relaxed and enjoyable meeting.
