Jim Hawkins: Procured a rotary vehicle number plate last Sunday from a car boot sale vendor, the plate will be hung in the hub.
Ray Milton: The first committee meeting for the Police Officer of the year award 2019 has been successfully held.
President Pauline: Members intending to attend the Rotary convention in Hawaii should forward their registration and make accommodation bookings now as vacancies are filling fast.
Harold Bush: Bruce Duncan Cup voting is now open & more votes from members required.

Gold Coast population is heading towards 1.2 million by 2030.
Since 2012 there has been 59 high-rise mixed use development applications from 7 up to 64 story estimated cost $15 billion. High-rise development is controlled from Wharf Road to Peerless Avenue and then seven story height to Makeri Street.
Many Broadbeach improvements have been carried out with some being:
Niciforides sculpture and landscaping $160 thousand.
Gold Coast Bulletin centenary park $1.6 million.
Broadbeach Library and life education centre $2.3 million.
Albert Waterways hall $5 million.
Seventy CCTV cameras out of 280 have been allocated to Broadbeach from the Commonwealth games. These cameras have been placed in priority areas, at light rail station, two at Cascade Gardens, two at Gold Coast
regional botanic gardens and two at St Johns park Mermaid Beach plus many other areas of need.
Vehicle mitigation bollards have been installed in Broadbeach mall. This is an effective way to prevent vehicles entering the area at speed and a proactive step in public safety.
Additional speed awareness devices have been rolled out being a key Initiative of the Gold Coast safety plan, speeding devices portable and permanent installed where speeding is an issue.
Commonwealth Games has assisted in the following events to be held on the Gold Coast.
World lawn bowls championships, world surf lifesaving championships 2024
170 metre super yacht birth and a dive site off the spit.
44% of Queensland conferences are held on the Gold Coast which is the fourth top performer in Australia. This generates approximately $540 million into the local economy.
Visitors to the coast are up by 13.9%; new airlines from Thailand and Vietnam are now commencing to fly into the Gold Coast.
The Broadbeach council allocation is $460 million, from this local business receive 80%.
Light rail is ready to proceed to Burleigh Heads.
