Fellow Rotarians and Friends,

Our Christmas party at Benowa Gardens Highland Court Chinese Restaurant was a nice social night. A nice way to finish a great year at a truly remarkable Rotary Club. Thanks to every member of this club, with all your hard work and dedication that makes this club the best Rotary Club ever.  A big thank you to all the members that have volunteered for the Scooter and BBQ rosters over the Holiday period. The toy drive has been a huge success with the toys delivered on Monday to Pindara Private and on Saturday to Gold Coast university Hospital.

We have two potential new members joining our club next year. Barabara Burnheim and Lee Morgan. Please make them both feel welcome to our club. Our first meeting back will be at Mermaid bowls club on the 10th of January at 5pm for barefoot bowls social evening and dinner afterwards.

Wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New year.

Yours in Rotary
 Andrew

FROM OUR CHRISTMAS PARTY
TUESDAY 13 DECEMBER 2022

Scribe: Neil Jones
Twenty five members and guests turned out at the Benowa Highland Court Chinese Restaurant for the Club's 2022 Christmas function.  It was certainly a very festive occasion with everyone joining in the Christmas Spirit and enjoying the fellowship

Having feasted on a wonderful banquet (not even Bruce could manage to clean up all the dishes) President Andrew thanked all for their contribution over the past six months, wished everyone a relaxing and enjoyable festive break and looked forward to an even more exciting and rewarding 2023.

WEEKLY LAUGHS
Here I am living the life of my dreams loving every minute!
Then the bloody alarm goes off!

These days when you mention Botox…
Nobody raises an eyebrow!

I wonder if acupuncture can be used to treat pins and needles?
If it wasn't for venetian blinds it would be curtains for all of us.

For Christmas I was given a jar of cherries in brandy, I was grateful not just for the
cherries but for the spirit in which it was given!

My Christmas lights have just stopped working. Oh wait, no they haven't, yes they
have, no they haven't, yes they have.....

“The worst part of online shopping is having to get up and get your credit card from
your purse.”

I have the memory of an elephant. I recall going to the zoo and seeing an
 elephant.

I used to go out with a girl I met at the bus stop. We never got on…
