Fellow Rotarians & Friends,
Thanks for your input at the Club Forum on 2 July 2024, the meeting was very enjoyable and the food from Kampung Malay was also well received.
I have repeated the advice that was provided to members via email, as I feel that this is important for members and honorary members to note.

Determination of Annual Membership Fees for 2024/2025
That the Membership Fee for the Rotary Year 2024/2025 be set at $300 per member. Meeting Costs
That the Dinner Fees be set at $30 ($25 for partners), with the exception of self-catered meetings, where an appropriate lesser fee will be applied. Drink charges to remain at current charges. (Dinner fees are increasing to cover the lack of coin and the dispensing of the Fines Session and Copper Pot, as well as covering Guest Speaker, Raffle and Heads and Tails costs).
Honorary Members – It was determined that the current Honorary members be confirmed.
If members have any concerns or issues with these decisions, can you please advise me.
Some further notes from the Meeting – the Raffle was won by the very Lucky Peter Tomlinson.
Congratulations to PP Neil Jones on receiving a Special Award at the District Governor’s Changeover, representing Neil’s involvement with the Rotary Foundation over an extended period. Well done and we are proud of your achievements.
A special thank you also to Neil and Christine for donating the cost of the floor replacement in the kitchen area at The Hub. It looks great.
Broadbeach Rotary was also awarded a Significant Achievement Award at the DG Changeover for our involvement in the Pentecost Island Hospital building project. Another milestone for our club.
I am looking forward to an exciting and interesting 2024/2025 Rotary Year.
Hope to see you at our Fellowship Meeting on 16 July 2024.
