Bruce Schulman is doing more research on the Haitian school that is looking for support.

Steve reported on affordable homes in Plymouth for veterans.  He will see if there is a speaker for Habitat For Humanity to speak to our club.  He prefers homes to shelters, as this is a more lasting solution for housing.  One Habitat group has many connections to other Habitat groups which makes them very effective in finding homes for people.

There is enthusiasm for another Trivia Night.  Steve, with his connections to the American Legion, will investigate if the Duxbury Post will host another event.  Bob is already prepared with the questions.

It is time to address the placemat ad fundraiser.  Steve and Cheryl are going to assemble a list of donors and their addresses.  This will be the topic of the first meeting in March.

Michelle has information on the Duxbury Credit for Life Fair.  She has been involved with this event in Weymouth for four years.  It is designed for high school students to learn how to live on a budget.  People are needed to man of the booths.  It will take place on Wednesday, April 13, 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM for staff and 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM for students.

SCHEDULE: March 2, planning for “placemat ads” (secret fundraiser).

FINES/RAFFLE: Neli acted as the Sgt.-at-Arms.  Charlie noted that Razia, Kayaker Deborah Walters and four other women were being honored at the Rotary-UN Day with the Global Women of Action Awards.  They are pictured in an article in the March issue of the Rotarian magazine, on page 61.  Neli thoroughly enjoyed a visit with her sister.  Charlie and the Art Complex Museum are celebrating the museum’s 45 anniversary.  Bob Johnson is pleased with the results of his cataract operation.  Michelle had a fabulous trip to Nashville where she actually spoke to her idol, NFL hockey player Patrice Bergeron.
