Josh Cutler, Democratic incumbent State Representative and Joe Sheehan, Republican challenger spoke to the club.

Joe supports increasing local aid for our communities and schools.  He works for LoJack auto retrieval system and lives in Pembroke.  He is also the son of member Eileen

Josh is pleased with a mental health pilot program, that he supported, that was spurred on by the recent increase of suicide.  It is a referral service sponsored by MSPP (Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology), which can be reached by internet www.msppinterface.org for information or by calling the helpline at 617 332 3666 x 1411 Monday – Friday, 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM to consult with a mental health professional or to get a referral.

Fred thanked the members who were able to help with Razia’s Ray of Hope function on Sunday, Oct. 19.

NEW MEMBERS INDUCTED: Marge Canty and Sandra Childs were welcomed to the club by President Fred.

CASINO NIGHT: Fred passed around signup sheets for sales of tickets, which cost $45.00 per ticket, merchant gifts and sponsorships.  There is a need for 60 chairs

SCHEDULE: Oct. 23, tour of Duxplex at 5:00 PM.

Oct. 28, “4:45 PM” (secret time) tour of the new middle/high school with dinner at the Senior Center following at 6:00 PM.

FINES/RAFFLE: Bob J. ‘s daughter and Karen’s husband celebrate Oct. birthdays.  Neli and her husband are celebrating 30 years together.  Karen has a new car.  Fred and Bob J. were pleased with new plumbing equipment.  Sandra won $2.00 in the raffle.
