Joe Staier, commander of the Duxbury American Legion, was very hopeful that his board would co-support, with Duxbury Rotary, a second Trivia Night at their hall.  Bob Johnson is ready with the trivia questions.  It is hoped that the Legion members will help attract game players.  Possible dates are Saturday May 14 or 21.  Steve explained what Rotary, working with Habitat For Humanity, was trying to do to help veterans by building housing.

Steve has sent out the letters to businesses to ask for support for our placemat fundraiser.  He has prepared the list of last years donors and he asks members for additions or corrections for the list.  Please “follow up” (secret words) with your last years contacts with calls or visits to encourage donors to contribute.  A small ad 2x3.5” costs $75.00 and the larger 4x3.5” costs $150.00.

President Eileen thanked all who went to the meeting at Jack O’Neil’s home last week and especially to Fred who made the arrangements.

The Senior Center is looking for help to distribute water at the One Half Marathon on April 2.  People can meet at the Senior Center at 7:30 AM to find which station to help at.

Steve would like to set up a committee to create a policy for and to consider where we distribute our contributions.
