Bob Hebb, Foundation Chairman, presented Paul Brogna with a Paul Harris Fellow Award for his contributions to the club and to the community.  Paul was not able to attend Charter Night so the presentation was delayed.

Thursday, June 26, 5:30 PM duck sorting will take place at Steve and Linda’s home at 287 Tobey Garden Street.

Duck Race Day is Saturday, June 28 at the Blue Fish River Bridge.  Events start at 11:30 AM.  President Fred finalized plans for the big day.  He and some members will be setting up some of the events starting at 7:30 AM.  Ticket sales will begin from 9:00- 9:30 AM.

An area will be roped off for the fire trucks.  Permission has been given to use the Maxwell Rose Garden our Angry Duck activities.  Cheryl will get banners and Michelle will get water to sell.  Steve will help gather kayaks.  Allie and Brooke Chandler will oversee the Duck Waddle.  Paul will supervise the nine Mega Ducks that will be raced.  Michelle has agreed to MC the events and Paul will look for a PA system for her to use.  Lynda, Razia, Chuck and others will sell more tickets.  The Clipper has a color ½ page article in this week’s paper promoting the race.  Many thanks are due to them.  Eastern Bank has agreed to assist with the duck race.

There have been 1950 ducks sold so far with hopes there will be many last minute sales.

DUES ARE DUE!

Mat Walsh, co-owner of the Dux Plex, has agreed to host the Rotary Casino Night on November 15.

MEMBERSHIP:  President Fred had a visit with Jack O’Neil who was a paratrooper after the war in Japan.  It was at that time that he suffered some injuries that are now affecting him.

FINES /RAFFLE:  This was Bob’s last night performing the duties of the Sgt.-at-Arms.  Bill Lawrence will take over next meeting.  Michelle’s parents are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.  Steve and Lynda enjoyed a visit to Mystic Seaport.  Fred won $6.00 in the raffle.
