DUXBURY ROTARY CLUB

BRIDGE June 22, 2016 for the meeting of June 28

A big thank you to Eileen for taking on the position of President for the 2015-2016 year, despite a very busy personal and business life.  She thanked the members of the club for all of their support.  June 22 was her last in chairing the meeting as President.   We now look forward to Steve taking on the office.

Membership was discussed because the District and Rotary International are counting members and requesting dues.

No updates from Bruce S. about the July 4 float.

Fred enjoyed a visit with June and Jack O’Neil who both hope to attend Charter Night.  He also was interviewed by South Bay Living magazine about the Club and its activities.

More $25.00 Good Neighbor gift cards are needed by the Senior Center.

VISITOR: Preston Richmond, a summer resident in Duxbury, made up a meeting.

SCHEDULE:  “Tuesday” (secret) June 28, Charter Night at Disch’e Tavern, 6:00 PM cocktails, 6:30-6:45 PM dinner.

FINES/RAFFLE: Fred really worked the members and the fines kept flowing.  Bruce R. and a list of his acquaintances are celebrating June birthdays.  Good news, he is getting new clients and his wife is going to be the new head of the consulting division of H. P.  Michelle has a birthday and is excited to have received the invitation to her son’s wedding.  Guest Preston offered a fine for the baptism of his granddaughter and hearing from his son on Father’s Day.  Elaine is grateful to be graduating from her course work and to becoming a grandmother.  Fred has launched his boat and helped Charlie W. in setting up his.  Bruce won $2.00 of his fines back by winning the raffle.
