Allison Gates of the Stoughton Rotary club filled in for Dawn Reardon to help sell the Randolph/Avon Rotary Club raffle tickets to raise funds for building supplies.  The funds will be used to help Burmese refugees in Thailand with housing.

The Scituate club is sponsoring a video of Patty Quigley and Ms. Murphy who both lost husbands in the 9/11 attacks.  Patty is assisting Razia with the Afghan girl’s school.  The showing will be at the Scituate Mill Wharf Theater on Sept. 10 at 8:00 PM.

Patty Ryan is looking for donors for the Plymouth Rotary Club golf tournament and dinner.  Also, she is in the development department of Beth Israel Deaconess/Plymouth Hospital and she is offering Peter Holden, CEO of the hospital, as a speaker.

President Fred and Paul are working on the raffle licensing that is need for the Casino Night.

Steve thanked Paul, Linda and Cheryl who helped him greet Deborah Walters in Marshfield and Cheryl and Seth who help him launch Deb at Shipyard Beach on the continued trip to Plymouth.  The Club is considering a gift to Deb’s cause - Safe Passage - Guatemalan Kids at the Dump, for education.  Keep an eye out for an article in the Clipper about Deb’s visit and the interview with Steve.

SCHEDULE: Aug. 26, “A MORNING MEETING and the YEARLY VISIT BY THE DISTRICT GOVERNOR”.  There will be a Director’s Meeting following the regular meeting.” (secret)GUEST:  Chuck’s daughter from California, Sharon, accompanied her father.

RAFFLE: First item on the program was the raffle.  Excitement is building with only six cards left.  Bruce did not pick the Joker but won $8.00.

FINES: Chuck and Marie are celebrating 68 years of marriage.  Marie is also celebrating a birthday.  Bruce’s wife and Michelle’s husband have August birthdays.
