REPORTS Club Donation to EERN Christmas Hampers from Gabby The Eastern Emergency Relief Network Inc (EERN) is doing its annual Christmas Hamper initiative this year. EERN has already been asked by its member agencies for around 250 hampers.
Recently the Rotary Club of Nunawading Board voted to support Eastern Emergency Relief Networks Christmas Hamper initiative. This will comprise of a $1,000 donation towards the purchase of hamper items.
The club will also purchase 144 Rotary pudding packs (containing 4 small puddings) from the Rotary Club of Melton Valley to the value of $850 – this also supports the Rotary Foundation. The local Lions clubs have again donated some Christmas cakes so each hamper will have either a cake or puddings.
Due to reduced funding, the size of the hampers have been modified and will have a distinct Christmas focus. If members would like to donate items individually, EERN still need the following items: - tinned ham
- long life cream or custard,
- fruit mince pies (ideally packs of 6),
- 825 gram tins of fruit (either 2 fruits or fruit salad).
