WEEKLY BULLETIN    VOLUME 5   ISSUE 6th August 2024
AUGUST - MEMBERSHIP AND NEW CLUB DEVELOPMENT MONTH

Monique's Message

Last weekend, our Rotary club hosted a delightful High Tea for a Cause event, raising an impressive $2,000 for Hayden’s Helping Hands. I extend a heartfelt thank you to our dedicated fundraising team for their hard work and meticulous organization. The afternoon was truly special, filled with an array of delicious food, stunning fashion, and enticing auction items that sparked excitement among our members and guests.

We are thrilled to announce that the funds raised will be presented at an upcoming meeting, highlighting our commitment to making a difference in the community.

Looking ahead, I am excited about next week’s presentation by Past District Governor Daryl Moran on Youth Programs. Engaging with the youth in our community and local schools is one of my key goals this year, and I look forward to discovering new opportunities to foster this important connection.

District Conference registrations are now open for the Inaugural Rotary District 9815 Conference, March 28-30th 2025 in Bendigo. Themed “We are Better Together”. The theme for the Gala night is “Rotary Rocks”, so is bound to be a lot of fun! I encourage you to come along and enjoy the experience, meeting Rotarians from our new District 9815, learning about the amazing things everyone is up to.  There will be a range of activities you can join in with on Friday, including Golf, Bowls, Art Gallery Visit, High Tea or even a Winery Tour.  On Sunday, there will be a Charity Walk for the Monash Children’s Hospital Cancer Centre.  Don’t miss out on the “Early Bird” pricing.

I am continually inspired by the remarkable membership of our club. Your enthusiasm and dedication to service make me proud to be part of such a supportive and caring community. Together, we are making a significant impact! Building strong relationships and ensuring everyone’s well-being creates a positive environment.  I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt appreciation for the care and concern we show for one another.  Your support and kindness foster a strong sense of community within our Club.  Thank you for being such an incredible group!

Thank you for your ongoing commitment and support. Let’s keep the momentum going!

Take care,
Yours in Rotary
