Wow, I Can't Believe How Fast the First 6 Months Have Gone!
It's hard to believe that half a year has already passed since I took on the role of President of our Rotary Club. In that short time, we have achieved so much and maintained a real positive buzz as we've stayed busy serving our community.
Our club has been active on many fronts - assisting local youth through various projects, connecting with schools, inducting new members, and so much more. It's no wonder our Rotary Club is the envy of so many others. We should all be really proud of the time and effort we've put in to make a real difference.
One particular highlight for me was last week's Youth Skills Shed Tradie Recognition & Presentation event. Seeing firsthand the dedication of the tradespeople and volunteers, and the joy on the kids' faces, was incredibly rewarding. Moments like that remind me why we do what we do.
A reminder, that our final meeting for the year is Tuesday 17th Dec and this will be a Vocational Visit to the Knox Community Gardens. We will be providing you with a sausage sizzle/salads for dinner. Plates and cutlery will be supplied. If you can please BYO drinks and a chair.
Our 1st meeting of 2025, will be a Social gathering at the Quarry Reserve on Tuesday 14th January. This will be a BYO Picnic. BBQ & Toilet facilities are available. We plan to meet at 6.30pm. Hope to see you there.
As we draw the year to a close, I want to personally wish each of you a beautiful Christmas and thank you for your unwavering support throughout the year. I'm looking forward to working alongside you in the new year and wish you all the best.
Here's to continuing our positive momentum and making an even bigger impact in 2025!
Warmest wishes,
Yours in Rotary,
Monique
