WEEKLY BULLETIN    VOLUME 12   ISSUE 46  10th June 2025

Monique's Message

What a wonderful presentation we enjoyed last week from Desley Tunstall, who shared her adventures and humanitarian work in Papua New Guinea. Desley is truly an inspiration, and we’re hopeful that our Club may be able to support her future efforts through some potential projects currently being explored.

This past Wednesday and Thursday, I had the pleasure of spending time in Hobart, making arrangements for next year’s District Conference. I’m so excited about what’s coming together – we have some incredible speakers lined up, and Hobart is a fantastic location with so much to see and do. While I was there, I also attended a meeting with the Rotary Club of Hobart, who send their warm regards to all of you.

It’s always refreshing and insightful to visit another Club and experience the unique way they connect and serve. I encourage everyone to drop in on a Rotary meeting when you’re travelling, or if you have some spare time – you’ll always be made welcome, and you might come away with a fresh idea or new connection.

This coming Tuesday, we’re delighted to be welcoming Past District Governor Alma Reynolds, who will speak to us about the Rotary Foundation.  While some of you may have heard about it before, it’s always worth revisiting – especially for our newer members.

The Rotary Foundation is essentially the core of Rotary, and it's what powers our service. It helps fund life-changing projects. Clubs can access grants through the Foundation to turn our ideas into action, both locally and internationally. Every donation to the Foundation goes directly to supporting projects – and it’s this structure that helps ensure our work has lasting impact.

I’m looking forward to a relaxing long weekend, and I look forward to seeing you all Tuesday night!
Take care,

Monique
