The Changeover dinner was a remarkable event that celebrated the success of the year 2023-2024. The evening was filled with joy, and a sense of accomplishment, as we reflected on the achievements of the past. We took on numerous projects and initiatives that had a profound impact on the lives of individuals and the community. From organising fundraisers to supporting educational programs, the Club demonstrated unwavering commitment to service.
One of the highlights of the evening was the recognition of outstanding members who have gone above & beyond in service to Rotary. Of course, all of you do not go unnoticed and are all deserving. There are so many of you that work tirelessly in the background, volunteer your time, and give so much to our Club. I congratulate us all.
The Wal Goodwin award was presented to Paul Cassidy, in recognition of outstanding service to our Club and community. Paul is the quiet achiever who is always willing to help out whenever needed. A very well deserved award. Janine Mossop was awarded the Community Award, for her tireless work with Backpack4kids. Mark Smith, Glenn Tippett and myself were awarded with a PHF. CONGRATULATIONS to all!
Overall, the Changeover dinner was an enjoyable evening, that celebrated the achievements of the past. It was a testament to the strength of our exceptional Club and a display of our fellowship and fun we have in our Club.
I look forward to my year as President, as I take on the role of I am committed to being a nurturing leader, one who prioritises the well-being and growth of each and every member. A Club where members always feel welcomed and cared for. Our Club has had a strong growth over the last 3 years, and I feel it is time to make sure all our members are engaged, and excited about being part of our Irresistible Club.
At our next meeting I look forward to sharing my goals with you and we will hear from our Chairs a brief outline of their plans. Let us embark on this journey together, as we work towards making a lasting impact and leaving a legacy of service and fellowship.

Changeover was held on Friday 28th June. We had 58 attendees including District Governor Elect Colin Byron and his wife Leanne Byron and District Governor Nominee, Peter Behm. The night was light hearted and fun. We celebrated a great year of membership, fellowship and achievements.

Club Structure 2024-25

After reviewing feedback from the Membership Satisfaction Survey, 'seating' was a common response for change. It was agreed and approved by the Board that we would try something new.
We are implementing a system where members take a random number (1-4) at the cashiers desk, and proceed to sit at the designated table number.
Guest speakers and the President will be allocated Table 1, and of course if you bring a partner or a guest, they can sit with you.
The purpose of this new arrangement is to encourage inclusion, interaction and collaboration amoung members. By mixing up the seating, we hope to create a dynamic environment where everyone can engage with each other.
If members are unable to attend Tuesday night's meeting, please decline on ClubRunner by 5pm the Monday before. This is important for Knox Club staff and catering purposes.
