We honor the courage, sacrifice, and enduring spirit of the ANZACs- those brace men and women who served, and continue to serve, our country in times of war, conflict, and peacekeeping.
ANZAC Day is not just a commemoration of a single moment in history - it reflects the values that define us; mate ship; resilience, courage, and service above self. These are the same values we hold dear in Rotary, and the same values we strive to uphold in our service to the community and the world.
Form the shore of Gallipoli to the fields of Europe, from the jungles of Southeast Asia to the deserts of the Middle East, Australian and New Zealand soldiers have stood for freedom, justice, and peace. their legacy lives on - not only in memories and ceremonies - but in every act of kindness, in every hand extended to help, and in every step we take toward building a better world.
Let us remember the fallen, honor the returned, and support those still serving. Let us teach the next generation the meaning of remberberence - not just in words, but in action.
As we pause to reflect, we say with gratitude and reverence:
Lest we forget
Congratulations to all involved in last weeks ANZAC ceremony especially Lance Deveson and Glenn Tippett. It was a wonderful morning and the school children seemed to enjoy the event. I was honoured to play a formal part and i would like to thank the helpers who turned up on the day to help. After our community group meeting, we have been sent an email from the Rotary Club of Wandin seeking some help. If you can spend some time to attend, that would be great.

Can i please remind everyone that voting for the Wal Goodwin award will commence during May. Please put in your nominations into the box on the front desk. The purpose of these nominations is to jog your memory of the actions people have made throughout the year. They are NOT the only people who can be voted in the upcoming election. You can vote for any current member to receive the award. This award will be presented at changeover, which will be held on Sunday 29th June.
As we come to the end of another busy month, it always amazes me what we have been up to. We successfully completed another round of the Youth Skills Shed, we have listened to some wonderful guest speaker, attended District Conference, hosted Community Group meeting, ANZAC ceremony, plus much more that I have probably forgotten. I can look forward to running a session at Club Assembly, promoting Club Success in a video interview, club dinner and show, more great speakers, planning next years district Conference and much more.
Take care,
