WEEKLY BULLETIN VOLUME 3 ISSUE 13 24th September 2024
SEPTEMBER - BASIC EDUCATION AND LITERACY MONTH
Monique's Message
As another week comes to a close, I can hardly believe we are nearing the end of September! I’m excited about our upcoming Club Assembly at our next meeting. It’s always a fantastic evening where we hear from each of the Committee Chairs about the projects and events in the pipeline, as well as the outcomes of past initiatives. It promises to be an informative night!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in the survey for The Fit for Purpose Program. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us tailor our approach to enhance our Club.
As mentioned at our last meeting, our District is encouraging all members to sign up for MyRotary. You can access it here: MyRotary. This website, managed by Rotary International, is a fantastic resource for learning and development, as well as for news and information about the incredible work being done by Rotary around the globe.
We've got a very busy couple of months leading up to the end of the year. Please check Clubrunner for an up-to-date list of dates for upcoming events: Clubrunner or visit our website at Rotary Boronia.
Let’s also take a moment to congratulate the Rotary Club of Ferntree Gully for successfully securing a $20,000 grant from Knox Council. This funding will allow them to relaunch the Knox Nocturnals program in Term 4. For more information and to register as a volunteer, please visit their new website: Knox Nocturnals.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at our next meeting!
Take care,

KNOX NETWORKING EVENT
We are excited to be hosting our next Volunteer Manager’s Network meeting at the Knox Environment Society where we can ‘NETWORK WITH NATURE’!
We have invited ‘The Lizard Wizard’ to share an interactive experience where we can get up close and personal with wildlife while we network!
A wonderful way to focus on caring for our wildlife and environment. Meet Frank the Lizard and Gemini the Python if you dare!
The Knox Environment Society have also kindly offered a tour of their nursery where we can see first hand how volunteering looks for them!
We will end our day with a delicious morning tea and a take home goodie bag!
We hope that you can attend as this is a wonderful way to meet and talk freely with other like minded Managers about all things volunteering.
We have limited spots available so make sure you book in asap with the link below. Bookings close on Friday 20th of September or before if capacity is reached.
If members are unable to attend Tuesday night's meeting, please decline on ClubRunner by 5pm the Monday before. This is important for Knox Club staff and catering purposes.
You can update or find information on this website or contact Monique Smith to register or update your details. *Please remember to list Rotary Club of Boronia as a place you volunteer.
