Monique's Message

Dear Rotary Family,

My first meeting as your Club President went well. Thank you again for all your support and encouragement, and as I said last night, you are my Rotary Family, and I will be here to nurture and listen to you.
It was my chance to share and present to you my goals for the year. As we embark on this Rotary year, one of my primary goals is to ensure that all members are engaged, have a sense of purpose, and feel welcome within our club. I believe that an engaged membership is the key to creating a thriving and impactful Rotary community.
It is essential that every member feels valued and included in our club. I will work closely with the Membership Committee to ensure that new members receive a warm welcome and that existing members continue to feel appreciated and supported.
I strongly believe that collaboration is the key to success. I will encourage teamwork and cooperation among our members, fostering a culture of inclusivity and shared goals.
During the meeting, we had the opportunity to hear from each of the Working Group chairs, who provided us with a brief overview of the progress and plans for their respective groups. It was inspiring to see the dedication and hard work that our members are putting into the Club.
I look forward to what the year brings, celebrating our achievements and successes.  If you have any ideas for projects, events, improvements etc, please do not hesitate to let me know.  Together, we will make a difference.
Togetherwe see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.’
Take care and have a great week,
Yours in Rotary,

Going on holidays or know someone not well?
If you are about to embark on a lovely holiday and would like to make members jealous, please let me know by email or text, as we would love to share with members on a Tuesday night.
Also if you, or someone you know is sick, going in for a procedure or needs our positive vibes (and are happy to share with us) please let me know.
If you need help or support, remember we are here for you.

Michael Jacobs was pleased to read an article in the latest edition of Rotary Down Under.  Dr Corey was sponsored by the Lindsay Cozens Aboriginal Education Trust (Michael and Julie Jacobs are Trustees).  The trust provided $2,500 per year for 3 years (of the $5,000 per year provided to him by Australian Rotary Health).   The full article is below and will be published in next weeks bulletin.

Important Updates
Seating Arrangements
After reviewing feedback from the Membership Satisfaction Survey, 'seating' was a common response for change.  It was agreed and approved by the Board that we would try something new.

We are implementing a system where members take a random number (1-4) at the cashiers desk, and proceed to sit at the designated table number.

Guest speakers and the President will be allocated Table 1, and of course if you bring a partner or a guest, they can sit with you.

The purpose of this new arrangement is to encourage inclusion, interaction and collaboration amoung members.  By mixing up the seating, we hope to create a dynamic environment where everyone can engage with each other.

Thank you for your cooperation.

REMINDERS
