Our last meeting was truly a buzz, filled with energy and purpose. We were honoured to have District Governor Colin Byron and his partner Leanne Byron join us, along with a host of enthusiastic guests who made the evening even more special.
The highlight of the night was the inspiring presentation by Grant and Russell from Wheelchairs for Kids. Their dedication to providing mobility solutions for children in need is commendable, and I am eager to find ways for our club to support their initiatives. One exciting opportunity on the horizon is a potential Wheelchair-a-thon, with interest from our local schools to get involved.
I am looking forward to our upcoming Trivia night, supporting Disaster Aid Australia. The numbers are looking good, so it should be a successful night. Thank you to all involved in getting this night organised.
As we plan ahead, I am still in need of 3-4 volunteers for the RYDA program scheduled for Tuesday, December 3rd, at the Box Hill TAFE Lilydale Campus. If you can lend a hand on this important day, please reach out to me.
You will also see in this bulletin a sign-up sheet for volunteers for the Boronia K-12 Fete to be held on November 30th. What a great way to show our support for the school and strengthen our relationship.
Additionally, we have a wonderful opportunity to participate in the Westfield Knox Christmas Gift Wrapping event this year. The gift-wrapping station will be in a more prominent location, making it even easier for shoppers to support us. We are scheduled for Sunday, December 15th, from 10 AM to 5 PM. I encourage you to consider helping, and feel free to invite friends or family members to join us. More details further in the bulletin and a roster sheet will be circulated at our next meeting.
Also further in this bulletin, you will find a list of shopping items needed for our Christmas Packing project. Please bring any contributions to our meetings leading up to December 7th; your generosity will be greatly appreciated. I am excited about this purposeful activity we have planned as part of our Christmas break-up.
There is a lot going on for our Club and I recognise that this time of year brings many commitments and Rotary events that require our attention. Every little bit of assistance is greatly appreciated.
As we approach the countdown to Christmas our club is certainly busy making a difference in our community. Together, we can achieve great things and spread joy this festive season. Thank you for your continued support and involvement!
