As I reflect on my year as President, I am reminded of my first message to you, where I expressed my excitement and commitment to leadership. I envisioned a Club where each member feels welcomed and valued, and I am proud to feel that our Irresistible Club is a nurturing one.
“Over the past three years, we have experienced significant growth, and it is essential that we continue to engage and excite all our members. I look forward to our next meeting, where I will share my goals for the coming year and listen to our Chairs as they outline their plans. Together, we can embark on a journey that leaves a lasting impact and builds a legacy of service and fellowship”.
I am grateful for the tremendous support I have received from each of you in pursuing this vision. The dedication and hard work that often goes unnoticed have not escaped my attention, and I deeply appreciate the time and effort you have all invested. Our collective impact on the community has been significant, especially in our outreach to the youth. The recent presentation by Mary McGowan from My Room was truly inspiring, highlighting the remarkable work being done for families and children affected by cancer. It serves as a powerful reminder of how fortunate we are to be surrounded by organisations and individuals making a difference.
As Rotarians, we are part of that change, continually seeking ways to support our community and beyond. Without our efforts, the challenges faced by many would be far greater. I take immense pride in being a Rotarian and in the association with this wonderful Club.
In our next meeting, we will delve into our Working Groups, discussing exciting initiatives on both local and international fronts. I wish Bernadette and our Club every success in the upcoming Rotary Year, and I eagerly anticipate what we can achieve together.
I am looking forward to our Changeover on Sunday. It will be a great afternoon where we can celebrate our achievements and recognise those members who have gone above and beyond. I look forward to welcoming in Bernadette as our new President and the Board for 2025-26.
Thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to our Club and to Rotary.
