WHO WAS ÖTZI? - Prof. Dr. Oliver Peschel will enlighten us about the cult mummy from the ice.
Prof. Peschel is a German forensic scientist. He conducts research and teaches as a professor at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. He received his doctorate in 1991, the year he graduated, with a thesis on rigor mortis. Prof. Dr. Peschel has been Ötzi's new conservation officer since 2016, which means he is the senior curator of the cult mummy exhibited at the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology in Bolzano. His duties include monitoring the correct storage of the mummy.
