Rotary 4 Hauner officially founded

The fundraising activities for the new Hauner Clinic in Munich have taken a huge step forward.

On Friday, 18 October 2013 eight Rotary Clubs and one Rotaract Club signed a new Charter for the Rotary 4 Hauner fundraising activities.

The Rotary and Rotaract Clubs in the Munich area are joining forces to create a critical mass to invest in a ward or a dedicated area of the Hauner Clinic which should be named in honour of the Rotary clubs involved.

So far the following clubs have joined to provide a new hospital for children, most other clubs in Munich are intending to join soon.

  • RC Munich-International
  • RC München Blutenburg
  • RC Münchner Freiheit
  • RC Grünwald
  • RC München Lehel
  • RC München Ost
  • RC München Land
  • RC München Flughafen
  • RAC Munich International

Each club nominates two members for this long term project. RCMI president Claas Kohl and board member Bert Koletzko were elected to represent our club in the general assembly.

The Rotary4Hauner group will be represented by the following elected three representatives:

  • Speaker: Peter Llewellyn-Davies (RC Munich-International)
  • Public relations: Jens Schröter (RC München-Ost)
  • Administration support: Julian Schwadter (RAC Munich International)
