The annual art auction is one of the highlights of the Rotarian year at RCMI. On Friday, November 10th, this year's auction took place and was a beaming success. € 74.100 were raised with an all-time record of € 9.000 for one object. The proceeds go to the Orlandus Lassus Foundation and Rotary 4 Hauner.
The impressive new location, DLA Piper, filling with keen bidders and curious onlookers:
Guests were able to preview the pieces of art for auction before the bidding began:
The bidding room literally spilling over:
Musical support from the talented oboist and Orlandus Lassus scholar Alexandra Hajdu:
Let the bidding begin with auctioneer Dr. Rupert Keim from the Auktionshaus Karl & Faber, München:
Guests were well taken care of with delicious finger food and handmade chocolates by the Munich International Rotaract Club:
A cocktail bar rounded off the night and ensured that none of our guests had to go home thirsty:
The outstanding result, the wonderful atmosphere of the event and the smooth process was due to the support of a great team of our fellow Rotarians, Rotaract, DLA Piper and related staff. We thank everyone very much for their contribution and look forward to the next auction in 2018!
