Deckel drauf - 8500 bottle caps collected for polio

500 plastic bottle caps, usually thrown away or given back to the shop. 500 plastic caps can save a child's life! The German organisation "Deckel Drauf" ("Caps on") have set up a charity which collects bottle caps and recycles these http://deckel-gegen-polio.de/causes/end-polio-now/. Our Rotary Club has been collecting lids for two months and at our club assembly we presented collected works - 17 kilos of lids - these can save 17 lives! Thank you to all who participated.
