On Friday, November 11th 2016, we completed another successful charity art auction to the benefit of the Orlandus Lassus Stiftung, the Rotary for Hauner Initiative, the Kunstlinge Project and the social projects of Rotaract Club Munich-International.

We thank all members and guests who contributed to the spectacular evening!

Hosted in a new venue this year – the modern EY building near Donnersbergerbrücke – we were all excited to see the evening unfold.

Guests had the opportunity to view the fantastic array of art pieces before the auction began.

This year’s new handprinted tiles by artist Christian Rothmann depict Munich’s “Chinsesicher Turm” and were on sale, also for the good cause.

There was animated bidding led by our entertaining auctioneer and quite a few fierce battles for the wonderful pieces of art.

The evening was accompanied by excellent food and wine (thanks to our sponsor Castell), handed out by our fellow Rotaracters.

Outstanding Orlandus Lassus scholar Pedro Aguiar provided musical accompaniment.

And at the end one very lucky winner won a special Mont Blanc fountain pen.

The outstanding result, the wonderful atmosphere of the event and the smooth process was due to the support of a great team of our fellow Rotarians, Rotaract, members of EY and related staff. We thank everyone very much for their contribution and look forward to the next auction in 2017!

For the wonderful photos we thank our photographer and friend Hans Geesmann
