(photographs refering to the items will be shown in the presentation of the project)

Our new school complex has been inaugurated and is meanwhile fully functioning with 280 kids, all in boarding.

Now we would require a full set of new school uniforms, shoes, socks, school bags for all kids. Their old uniforms are outworn and//or too small and a lot of kids did not even have one.

Uniforms are necessary as lots of the parents are so poor that they cannot afford any clothes for their children and they do avoid children feeling "poor", shoes are also necessary, also to prevent the children from getting dangerous worms through their feet walking around outside the school building.

We should like the children to develop a feeling of responsibility for the new school as "their" school and keep it clean and organized. Shelves in the new classrooms help them a lot to do this.

In India everybody keeps his personal belongings at home in a metal box, cubbords a are not common. As we are a boarding school we have to store the metal boxes of our 280 school kids in additional shelves in their bedrooms.

We teach our pupils in basic hygiene in the school lessons. For example most of them have never used a shower, a towel and a mirror.

Scabis is still very common in our area and unfortunately also with our children only avoidable by a strict hygiene.

We would be very thankful if RCMI can support us with a donation for these items!
