"How to Prevent Cancer by Changing the Lifestyle“ Malignant diseases are the second most common cause of death in industrialized countries. By changing our lifestyle (physical activity and nutrition) we are able to reduce the probability to suffer from cancer up to 30% (i.e. breast, colon and prostate cancer)
Moreover if afflicted with cancer recent studies show, that moderate physical activity and what is called a "Mediterranean diet“ improves life quality and prognosis significantly. Convincing data presented in my lecture show that an active lifestyle may optimize cancer therapy.

Dear Rotarian friends,
Members and friends of RC Munich International will have the unique and exclusive opportunity to visit the ESO SUPERNOVA center and get a guided tour by Tania Johnston, Coordinator of the Center.
As the largest tilted planetarium in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, the ESO Supernova is truly unique. Apart from enjoying stunning shows, the planetarium is an excellent location for events. The ESO Supernova Planetarium & Visitor Centre <http://supernova.eso.org/> will be a showcase for astronomy for the public. It is made possible by a collaboration between the Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies <http://www.h-its.org/en/> (HITS) and ESO. The Klaus Tschira Stiftung <http://www.klaus-tschira-stiftung.de/> (KTS), a German foundation that supports the natural sciences, mathematics and computer science, offered to fully fund the construction and ESO will run the facility. The striking building was designed by the architects bernhardt + partner <http://www.bernhardt-partner.de/>.
We will meet at 07.15 pm and the guided tour will start at 07.30 pm. Please be there in time. After the tour you are most welcome to join at a local restaurant!
