A re-discovery of Lake Garda through a new key: the signs left in the culture, architecture, crafts, cuisine and language by Venice, which ruled here for over 400 years.

Some historical places to visit:

- The Palazzo del Capitano (now the Town Hall) in the centre of Salò and the Musa museum, which houses a section dedicated to the Serenissima. The guide will be Lisa Cervigni, director of the museum.

- The MArteS - Museo d'Arte Sorlini, in Calvagese della Riviera, with all the paintings by Venetian artists and subjects, which were to decorate a palace owned by the family on the Grand Canal and then remained on Lake Garda. Guide: Dr Stefano Sorlini, owner.

- The Casa del Podestà, an enchanting place a stone's throw from Desenzano, with the Rocca and the panorama that sweeps over the horizon. Guide: Dr Stefano Lusardi, art expert and curator of the Foundation.

- The Valle delle Cartiere, where precious paper was once made for the Serenissima Republic of Venice, with machinery powered by the water of the Toscolano stream. A beautiful green area with the remains of the ancient paper mills where today, in the Paper Museum, assistants help you make your very own sheet of paper. Guide: Dr Silvia Merigo, director.
