The Munich street newspaper BISS celebrated its 30 years last summer. BISS stands for Bürger in Sozialen Schwierigkeiten (Citizens in social difficulties).
Karin Lohr, qualified hotel manager and sociologist, has headed the paper since 2014. She will talk to us how the newspaper makes a difference, what it means to the homeless, why she thinks the paper is more relevant than ever and what she still hopes to achieve. Her main motto: ‘If you want to stand on your own two feet, you urgently need a reliable job and a flat.'.
Please note that this is our last meeting in the Hilfton for the foreseeable future.
