Community partnerships - the most critical resource in keeping the Town safe

Chief King grew up in Milton and joined the Milton Police Department in 1992 as a civilian cadet and became a patrol officer in 1995. He started working as a police cadet at age 19 while also attending college. ​Chief King holds a law degree from the New England School of Law and has practiced as an attorney. He holds a master’s degree in criminal justice administration from Western New England College and a bachelor’s degree in criminology from Bridgewater State University. Chief King has also graduated from law enforcement executive development programs, including the FBI’s National Academy.

Chief King has served a total of 26 years with 21 years as a police officer, serving in various assignments/ranks, and as Deputy Chief prior to becoming Chief in 2016.
