Good afternoon to all,
This week Presidents Reports kicks off with a few very important events about to occur within this next week that are significant in relation to our focus on Community, and especially for those who may not be able to celebrate Christmas in what we see as a traditional festive season, that being:
Community Centre Christmas Lunch
From our very successful and ongoing association with the Mornington Community Information Centre, Stuart Davis- Meehan has sent thru this item of note, which reads:
You may be aware that we provide a Christmas Lunch on Christmas Day from 12noon till about 2pm for people who will be alone on the day. This year we are holding it at The Studio in Wilsons Rd. Unfortunately, we need about 40 volunteers on the day to make it happen and we only have about half that many so far. I wonder if you could put out a call to your contacts for anyone who might be interested in helping out. Volunteers will have to be double vaxxed and screened.
If you find anyone interested, can they please contact Amanda at the Centre on 59751644. If we are unable to find enough volunteers by next Wednesday we will have to consider cancelling the event.
Christmas Present Program
With our Community Committee up and about and extremely active just a reminder from the announcement and the posters that were distributed at last weeks Club Meeting, please remember our Christmas Present Program this week. Either drop into Toyworld in Main St to buy a present or bring one (unwrapped) to our Christmas Party on Wednesday night. (please no soft or stuffed toys)
Club Board Meeting
Our great hard working and very proactive Club Board will convene its final meeting for this calendar year on Thursday 09th Dec 21 at The Mornington Hotel.
