Good morning to all,
Last weeks- Cancelled Club meeting
With our cancelled Club Meeting Last week now behind us it brought home to me the need to have a “ backup plan “ for the many events / procedures we under take on a daily / weekly / monthly basis and this can be achieved over the coming few months, but there are times such as last week that all efforts to proceed may in vain. After rinhging around and speaking to quite a few of our seasoned Club Members I discovered that in the past 20 yrs or so that only once prior to last week was a Club Meeting held at the Mornington Golf Course which was subject to a lightning strike that cut short the Club Meeting.
The Shelter/Roof Over The Long Table
On the 10th March 2022 via a formal letter on behalf of our Club I informed, (as a matter of accepted Business practice) the assigned Builders (Croft Wootton’s Construion of Mt Martha) of our Club’s ability to be able to provide funds the Shelter/ Roof Over The Long Table for our contribution per Quote No 1008. Since then only as recent as yesterday I also received communication via John Renowden, from Mr Brett Osborne at the Shire, informing that “ All Shire approvals are in place for the long table shelter project. These include DELWP, Cultural Heritage, Shire Planning Permits, and building permits. Now that all necessary permits and documentation has been finalised and will subsequently passed on to the Builders we will see, in the very near future, spades, shovels and the like “turning over soil“ in Mornington Park.
