There will not be a club meeting this week as we have a Social Night at The Dubliner on Thursday, August 13th. It will be an opportunity to get together for some fun, and to enjoy Irish food and music. It will also be a great way to keep warm on a cold winter’s night.
MUNA - Model United Nations Award
Unfortunately, due to health issues, our two delegates representing Mexico, have withdrawn from this Saturday's event. Emma O’Dowd, staff member at Padua College, apologised for the late withdrawal and thanked the Rotary Club of Mornington for it's support.
Julia, Kaye and Judy will still attend and help the with the running of the event on Saturday morning at Lyndhurst Secondary College.
National Tree Day - A report from Julia
On National Tree Day, Sunday, July 26th, we had brilliant sunshine for our planned planting an assortment of 29 native trees in 4 Mornington reserves. Despite numerous hitches including Deputy Mayor, Cr. Paul Pingiaro having to send his last minute apologies, soggy and gravelly soil and insufficient mulch, we finished the exercise in under 4 hours. The Mornington Rotary Greenway Stage 2 planting exercise was a great success.
Congratulations to the planting group.

It will be held at the Alexandra Park Pavillion from 7-10pm.
We have been working closely on the details sharing preparations with The Bays staff and we have been asked to source raffle prizes, help to distribute flyers to local businesses and assist on the night with set up, etc. To assist can you all contact any local small business you know for a donation/gift voucher for the Raffle on the night.
We will also set up a roster for any of our members who can assist on the night
All members are encouraged to attend, and we will work on booking tables etc.
Anne Shaw invited Julia to attend the Mt Martha Rotary Club Youth Committee Meeting recently. Julia appreciated the opportunity to hear about their activities and programs in the community.
Important health information for us all.
Balance classesare crucial for reducing fall risks by up to 40%. They strengthen the core, improve body awareness, and maintain long-term mobility. These workouts support joint health, posture, and brain health by building neural pathways that aid memory and focus.
