Rotary Club of Mansfield, Texas

Feed by Grace

Feed by Grace’s mission is to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of the homeless community of Fort Worth.   The ministry develops and implements cost-effective, Christian-based programs that meet the needs of a diverse population working to break the cycle of homelessness.

Unity Park

There is a lot going on at Unity Park! Learn more about Unity Park is impacting the Fort Worth homeless community.

The park is open from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm to homeless individuals and volunteers.
Saturday is an unstructured day of playing and relaxation, when relational ministry takes root. The park is dotted with volunteers and homeless individuals sitting together and talking over coffee, thoughtfully studying a chess board, hands held and joined in prayer, or playing a pickup game of basketball.
There is a picnic-like atmosphere as food is provided and served by local churches and groups.  Games, sports, music, and activities fill the day.
You are always welcome to come as an individual or with a group on Saturday mornings and join with others in fellowship and friendship.  Check out our Get Involved page for details.
Rotary has in the past several years volunteered with the First Methodist Church on the 2nd Saturday in November.  We have sometimes provided food for 300 but last year we provided the drinks (water, iced tea and fruit punch)  The biggest thing though is the fellowship with the people.  We get as many to participate as possible to go out to the park and serve food/drinks and to talk with the people.  We typically meet at the First United Methodist Church around 10-10:30am on that Saturday for instructions etc and then drive to Unity Park in Fort Worth to set up.  Food is served at noon and we are typically home by 2:00-2:30pm
