Pura Vida! On Sunday March 26, Ardice Farro and I were guests of the Cartago and San Jose Northeast Rotary Clubs for the ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the delivery of a water system to the Copalchi community in Costa Rica.
In recognition of World Rotaract Week Kaylee Bragg, President, along with Sariaya Oommen, Secretary, presented a program highlighting the activities of the Rotaract Club at UNT this past year. Kaylee was honored with the Paul Harris Fellow Award from her grand uncle in recognition of her service and commitment to Rotary. Kaylee recognized Denton Rotarians Naomi Meier, Dick Pittroff and Alicia Mentell for their support and advice to the Rotaract Club and, in particular to her during her year as president.
From Rotarian Stan Ingman: Travel To Mexico for Service In May:
Guadalajara Area Mexico trip May 24 th to 28 th. Visit major Rotary Project and Club near Lake Chapala, a rural village Apango-education and clean stoves- and a special K to 12 school for Lower-middle class students- bilingual and environmental focus. Joint planning for future partnership is one objective for the trip.
