Rotaract Club January Update from Rotarian Alicia Mentell
The Rotaract Club kicked off the new year with a community service project at its first meeting. The Plano Rotaract Club reached out via Instagram asking if the club would be interested in being involved with visitors from San Nicolas de Los Garza Rotaract Club in Mexico. Seven welcome bags were put together containing an assortment of small gifts and treats for the group.
Ruben Tafoya from the Denton Rotary Club came to fulfill the Red Badge requirement of visiting another Rotary Club. He commended the Rotaractors for their commitment to hosting Carter Blood Drives on the UNT campus and being partners in saving lives. The club will be holding its next drive on February 14.
