Great Progress in Apango, Mexico
 
 
In May Rotary and FWOP members visited Apango some two or more hours south to assess cooperation.
From Noon Rotary -Rob Seay, Naomi Meier- Rotary/FWOP, Stan Ingman Rotary/FWOP and Julian Ramon- Morning Rotary  were on trip. 
Dayani Davilla from UNT  Rotaract/ FWOP and Margaret -FWOP Board member from
Cameroon/now-Houston completed Texas Team .
 
Since we returned over $3000 has been raised, given then 100 5 match from the Apango Team based Guadalajara.
Recently, State of Jalisco awarded $70,00;  $60,000 for painting and infrastructure (painting and streets) and $10,000 for cafeteria: such as tourist, pilot project in micro family enterprises
in chicken/eggs and hog raising , aguaponics, handcraft-sewing cooperative, water harvesting, and a few more clean stoves that families can build.
 
In 2022 FWOP donated funds to support the one month summer program and for material for families to build four clean stoves. Design team from Guadalajara has been helping begin modernize designs
to women so that they can find a market for their products. Most innovative in the establishment of Innovation Center at the School-Hempwood and hempcrete samples were donated from FWOP to the Center along with four Enlight Solar Smart -
All-in One. A few families do not have access to the Grid.
 
Sunrise Rotary members are scheduled to visit Apango soon and discuss cooperation
They have linked a group of college student in Jalisco who are focused on permaculture project in San Padro with Apango younger member and they will meet soon.
