August

(1)  Adoption Fair in Conjunction with Child Protective Services

(2)  First Refuge Holiday Food Extravaganza:  Collected food and donated to purchase of food for the food pantry at 1st Baptist Church

 

September

Members helped clean and set up at the new Our Daily Bread Shelter before its opening.

 

November

Toy Drive for Unhoused Kids through Giving Grace

 

December

Hearts for Homes Christmas Baskets of Food & Laundry Supplies for Seniors

 

January

(1) Shiloh Garden Clean-Up

(2) Rotary Club LULAC Scholarship funded through Member Donations totaling $677

 

February
(1)  Valentine Luncheon for Seniors at Fair Oaks Senior Living Facility. Members donated $603 for meals. Played games & visited with residents.

 

(2)  Pledged $500 and Used the Club’s Global Grant Distribution to assist with Global Grant #223640 Project Sponsored by Rotary Club Santa Maria South (California). The Grant Project will provide Basic Education & Literacy Kits for 290 Mexican Schools across thirty locations in 4 Mexican States. Total Denton Rotary Contribution: $5,594.  Total Funding for the Collective Grant: $99,870. March

(1)  $1,527 collected from members and donated to the Rotary International Relief Fund for Turkish Syrian Quake Relief

 

(2)  Explorium Clean-Up Day (March 25th)

 

(3) Club Donation of $5,000 to the construction of a new greenhouse at Shiloh Gardens
     Project to be funded through income from the Brewfest, the Club’s New Fundraiser 

 

 

Club Grants (Using Only Club Money)

 

  • Solutions of North Texas— $2500 Grant on September 29  for Appliance Repair
  • Span, Inc—  $2500 Grant For Digital Literacy on October 6th
  • Explorium Denton Children Museum— Grant for Vertical Storage in the amount of  $3,000 on October 27


District Matching Grant

  • Denton Community Food Center for Intake Computer Replacement— Grant Amount of $3,000 on March 9
  • Lovepacs — Grant for Vertical Storage in the amount of $3000 on March 30th
