Ross has been leading, coaching and focusing organizations for high impact in a wide variety of environments for 20 years. He spent the first six years of his professional career as an infantry officer in the US Army where he culminated his career as a company commander in the 101st Airborne Division. He then transitioned into the business world leading manufacturing teams, processes and joint ventures inside General Electric’s transportation, appliance and lighting businesses. Since 2003 Ross has been working with small businesses and non-profits as a performance coach and consultant. He helped found and lead an international development organization, Global Fusion, building networks, coaching, training and mobilizing resources to build schools, medical facilities and businesses in Afghanistan, Indonesia, and Africa.
The destinies for Afghanistan and America have become intertwined since the September 11th attacks. And while our military is doing tremendous work, the rest of America can make significant contributions to their ultimate success by staying engaged with the political and development processes. In this made for Rotary presentation, Ross will share stories from his personal experiences of traveling to Afghanistan more than 14 times in the last 10 years. Stories of success and breakthroughs, stories of Afghans who are committed to a new future, stories you will never get to see in the media. There is hope for Afghanistan, but only when the full power of America’s values of Liberty and Justice are built into the leaders who will move the country towards that new future.
