Rotary Club of Loveland Community Grants

ROTARY CLUB OF LOVELAND GRANT PROGRAM
The Rotary Club of Loveland, Colorado established the Club’s Foundation and Grant Program to support the Club’s service activities and promote the seven areas of focus for Rotary:
  • Promoting Peace
  • Fighting Disease
  • Providing Clean Water
  • Saving Mothers and Children
  • Supporting Education,
  • Growing Local Economies
  • Protecting the Environment
The Grant Process
First, the Loveland Rotary Club’s Foundation provides funding from the annual investment dividends.  At the same time, Loveland Rotary Club members, service committees, and non-profit organizations from the community submit grant applications that support the Club’s community and international service activities, reinforce the focus areas of Rotary, and/or support an underserved needThen, a Grant Committee established by the Club collects and reviews the grant applications and prepares a ranking and recommended allocations to the Club’s Board of Directors.  The Directors may approve, revise, or reject the allocations as recommended.  In the final step, the Chair of the Grant Committee notifies the applicants of the outcome of their applications and distributes the grants as directed by the Board.

Grant applications are received and reviewed annually. 2026 grant applications must be submitted by April 30, 2026. Funding for successful grants will occur in mid-July.
The Grant Program Priorities
In keeping with Rotary’s commitment to service, priority is given in the grant evaluation process to projects and programs in which Rotarians actively participate. The order of priorities is as follows:
  1. Priority 1: Funding for expansion of existing or proposed new Club-sponsored programs or projects involving active participation by Club members, whether such programs or projects benefit the local, national, or international community.
  2. Priority 2: Funding to support new programs, special projects or emergency needs of non-profit organizations serving the Loveland community in which one or more active and engaged Rotarians serve as non-paid volunteers, provided that such programs and projects are consistent with the Club’s strategic goals.
  3. Priority 3: Funding to support new programs, special projects or emergency needs of non-profit organizations serving the Loveland community in which one or more active and engaged Rotarians serve as paid employees or advisors, providing that such paid individuals have no participation in the grant decision process and that such programs and projects are consistent with the Club’s strategic goals.
  4. Priority 4: Funding to support new programs, special projects or emergency needs of non-profit organizations serving the Loveland community in which Rotarians do not participate, providing that such programs and projects are consistent with the Club’s strategic goals.
Further, the Loveland Rotary Club encourages grant applicants to apply for matching grants from the District and Rotary International. If the grant request is for a program or project outside of the Loveland area, but within Rotary District 5440, the applicant is encouraged to apply for a District 5440 matching grant, and if possible, to find another District 5440 Club to co-sponsor the program or project. If the grant request is for a program or project outside of District 5440 but in the United States, the applicant is encouraged to find another Rotary Club in the United States to co-sponsor the program or project. Finally, if the program or project is in a country outside of the United States, the applicant is encouraged to apply for a District and Global Grant.
