While the Covid-19 virus is changing how we do things, we are still able to support the community. The Duck Race Kickoff was this past week so make sure and get your ducks and help us support our Thompson School District Students!

The Rotary Club of Loveland will be racing ducks this year - although it will be a little different from previous years. We would like to thank Sylvan Dale Ranch and the Heart J Center for allowing us to host a virtual race on their property on August 22nd! Rotarians will record and share the race and results alike! You can purchase tickets and sponsorships at LovelandDuckRace.com.

This year the funds raisedwill be used to provide COVID-19 relief, promote literacy and provide High School Scholarships in the Thompson School district.  The Rotary Club of Loveland has provided over $600,000 in academic, art and vocational scholarships to area high school students since 1977. With your help we can provide COVID-19 relief and continue to support literacy and fund scholarships for the young people in our community.

Donations for tickets are $5 each, or $10 for three tickets and $20 for seven tickets. Each ticket represents one of about 7,000 small racing rubber ducks placed in the Big Thompson River. First, second and third place ducks win $1,000, $500 and $250.

You can also sponsor the duck race by purchasing and decorating one or more large rubber ducks. Sponsorship levels are $100, $250, $500, $1,000 AND $2,030. Decorating your large duck is optional, but it’s a fun activity for employees and families alike. If you decorate a duck, please email us pictures at LovelandDuckRace@gmail.com!

Scholarship sponsors will have an opportunity to have their name identified with a Rotary Club of Loveland $2,000 scholarship and will be acknowledged in our post-race newspaper ad. The Rotary Club of Loveland provides recognition of sponsorships by listing the names of sponsors in local newspapers. Join us in the fun and support Thompson School District students and Covid-19 Relief efforts!
