What is Rotary?

Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world.  Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 32,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas.

Rotary Club of Gillette, WY was admitted to Rotary International, June 13, 1988 and Chartered June 29, 1988.  All visiting Rotarians are welcome, as are interested community members.  Membership of the club is made up of men and women who are leaders, professionals and business owners and / or managers.  Club memebers are committed to service and doing good things for their fellow man.  These busy folks take time out of their schedules to plan, support and work together to help make life better for others in our area and around the world.  The opportunity to serve and share leadership skills are numerous.  We invite you to communicate any ideas or projects of service that will make our community better.  Our motto is "SERVICE ABOVE SELF."

How do I become a member of Rotary?

If you are interested in joining a local Rotary club, submit a Membership Application Form to a member of the club you wish to join.

How much does Rotary Club Membership cost?

Individual Rotary clubs set their own membership fees, so the cost of membership varies from club to club.  Membership dues depend on factors such as the cost for the meeting location, any food or beverages served duting meetings, service projects, and pblic relations.  The cost of membership also includes dues to the club's Rotary District to fund distrct wide servce projects and meetings. 

Annual costs for Gillette Energy Rotary Club membership include:  $94.00 for dues, $100.00 for Foundation Contibutions, and $658.00 for meals, totaling $852.00 annually. The totall is divided evenly and billed out quarterly. 

Attendance Requiremnents: 

An attendance record of 60 percent is required to remain an active Rotarian.  To accomodate busy schedules, there are various opportunities to make up missed meetings.
