The Gillette Energy Rotary Club was founded on June 17, 1988 when some members who had been attending the Gillette Rotary Club's meetings in the evening wanted to begin a "noon club."  From that beginning such a short time ago the club has grown to its current membership of about 60 members.

The focus of all Rotary clubs has always been on relationships between businessmen and women, increasing international relationships and understanding, and a strong focus on serving local needs. To that end the Energy Rotary Club has been fully engaged in a variety of wide-ranging activities over the past twenty years.  From supporting Boots for Kids and Big Brother / Big Sister programs locally, to supplying ambulances, school busses, bicycles, and electric wheelchairs to the needy in partnership with Rotary clubs in Mexico, Energy Rotary has always focused on serving the greater good.

Gillette Energy Rotary Club welcomes men and women from the area who have a desire to serve our local community and the world.  The club meets each Thursday from noon to 1:00 PM and enjoys fellowship, good meals, and weekly programs that help all members be better informed about activities, efforts, and causes in the local area.

As a part of District 5440, mainly Colorado and Wyoming, as well as Rotary International, the club is a part of a larger effort to influence the entire world.  The eradication of polio throughout the world has been the international focus of Rotary for many years and that goal of eradication is nearly a member and participant in Rotary International.

Our weekly meetings, our fund raising activities like our annual Cajun Night dinner, and our service activities like the Even Start Walk and ringing bells for the Salvation Army at Christmas time, all bring our members closer together.  Our club would be proud to include you as a guest at one of our meetings, as a prospective member, or as a fully-participating member of our club.  Feel free to join us on any Thursday at noon at Prime Rib Restaurant to find out exactly why Rotary is the most active service organization in the world!
